You are never a person when entering college... you are either your SSN number or student id number... I believe not only is the admissions process flawed.. but the standards for which students are judged on .. and the weighted avg for which so much is placed on 1 exam. I would not give up until you get someone to sit down on the phone and go over with you why your sisters was deemed not a good candidate? How many of their students that started with high SAT's and decent hs gpa's ended up staying at UW? What was their retention rate on what they expected to do well ? The reality there is a very high percentage of students who do not make the cut to get into whatever school .. whether business, liberal arts, sciences, engineering because the curriculum was flawed or the student didn't try... so this goes back too.. your point.. what is she being evaluated on or any student... and aren't there certain factors that play a role in a sliding scale?<br>And it's not just the admissions process it's the guidance for matriculation and graduation that is flawed...the poor development of curriculum and experienced educators... college isn't cheap...<br>good luck with beating down the door.. let me know if you need some more whoop ass ...
